Not sure how this works for other models. The problem is that the device would never get out of the boot screen, with the wagging U, and the imperfectly looped jingle. It would show up for about 80 seconds, then reboot itself and start all over. Unplugging did nothing, hard reset didn't seem to work, changing HDMI ports didn't work.
Re: Start TV on HDMI 1 instead of Roku Home Screen? That should be a fairly straightforward one to do. Go to Home Screen, then SETTINGS > SYSTEM > POWER > POWER ON > HDMI 1 (or whatever you have named it) That should set it to power up on whatever input you select. 0 Kudos.
Press the controller button to pair the Roku player with the app. This will enable the app to work as your TV remote. Select the settings button and then choose the option of the system. Select the Advanced System Settings options and click on Factory Reset. A new screen will pop up asking if you want to reset the TV.
05-18-2021 04:59 PM TCL Roku TV stuck at red startup screen I have a TCL Roku TV (Model A105X). A couple nights ago, the TV just turned itself on and got stuck in the red startup screen. It sits there for a bunch of seconds then reboots only to end up in the same screen, and repeats forever. I have tried a bunch of things.
3. Check on cable connections. Sometimes the frozen screen issue isn't related to the TV. If that's so, pay close attention to the power adapter as well as HDMI connections. Start by disconnecting all the cable connections in the setup. After that, plug them securely into the respective ports.
Follow these steps. Turn on the TV. Press the home page button 5 times. Press the curser up button 1 time. Press the rewind button 2 times. Press the fast forward button 2 times. The TV should start a reset and will likely turn on and off two or three times. Takes up to ten minutes. Seems to be a common problem.
You will see the TV startup screen and, after a short wait, the first Guided Setup screen will appear. The LED light on your TV may be ON or OFF depending on your specific model. You can change your standby LED settings after setup is complete. Pair your remote. This step only applies to TVs that come with a voice remote.
